Mupambemoyo

Ndikanyatso-kuti udyu-u neangu maziso,
chokwadi ndinochishaya kuchishaya chaiko
chandakada pauri.

Ndikanyatsozvigaya ndopedzisira ndodzungudza musoro.
Dzangu pfungwa dzinoramba, kuramba chaiko
kuti ndiwe nyakupingudza wangu moyo.

Kuzoti ndikazviyeuka,haiwa
zvinondiremera kuzvigamuchira,kuzvigashira
kuti ndava muhusungwa mehwako hutongi
hezvo kana zita kudoriyeuka handichagona.
Kuzoti nzira yovokwangu vokubereka
haiwa-a ikamwe pagore hembe yenherera.
Chokwadi nyatsondinyeurira kani mwene wewangu moyo,
mbavha yakarozva zvose hezvo ndangove demhe.

Kudoti ndiwanewo iro simba rokusvosva itwoka
tunotemwa dzinobuda ropa
wangu moyo unoramba.
Pedzezvo ndongogonyera panewe,
mupambe wewangu moyo.

Handaitarsira kuti nditsidze pamberi penyika yese asi
zvakakona
hezvo mangani atatsenga ndingori muhwako hutongi?
Chaisava changu chitarisiro,
kuti tigoita gumi refarira
ivo vari vana.

Chaisava changu chishuwo
kuvaka musha unozengurisa kudai.
Chete zvaizoenda nepiko
iwe wangu wainge wapamba kare.
